Our Entonox Awareness course gives you the basics on how to manage and deliver Entonox to a patient.  Entonox is a prescription drug and completing this course will not give you the authority to buy, rent or administer Entonox but it will give all the skills to help a qualified person to administer Entonox and give you the skills to be trained with the practical side by an authorised person in your workplace.

Learning Outcomes:

LO1. Understand what are medical gasses are and the difference between Entonox and Oxygen. 

LO2. Explain when you would use Entonox to control pain in a patient. 

LO3. Explain the problems with giving Entonox to a patient. 

LO4. Explain how much Entonox should be given and how its delivery is controlled. 

LO5. Explain how to assemble an Entonox set. 

LO6. Explain how to administer Entonox. 

LO7. Explain how to disassemble, store and transport Entonox safely.

This course comes with 3.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 32 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.
